Third party services

Organisations outside the NHS provide health services on behalf of your GP surgery, hospital and NHS England. These include services you can access using the NHS App or the NHS website. We call these third party (connected) services.

The local and national services available to you depend upon:

  • the organisations chosen by your GP surgery
  • the integrated care board (ICB) your surgery belongs to
  • those provided or chosen by NHS Digital

For those chosen by your GP surgery (local services), we show the names of organisations in your NHS App or the NHS website before you use their service. If you're still unsure who they are, ask your GP surgery.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) services

NHS COVID Pass

The NHS COVID Pass service lets you view and download your COVID Pass for travel abroad.

This is a national service provided by the Department of Health and Social Care.

You need full access to your NHS App to view and download your COVID Pass. Read more about proving who you are to get full access.

We only support queries about how to access this service in your NHS App, not queries about the service itself.

For more information, visit our About the NHS COVID Pass service help page.

Check your COVID-19 vaccine record

The Check your COVID-19 vaccine record service lets you view your vaccination details, like the name and batch number, and report any side effects you have experienced.

This is a national service provided by NHS England.

We only support queries about how to access this service in your NHS App, not queries about the service itself.

For more information, visit our Check your COVID-19 vaccine record help page.

Personal health records

A personal health record stores information about your health and care online. It's managed by yourself, and health professionals can add information to it.

We can only support queries about Patients Know Best Ltd and Substrakt Health relating to their services in your NHS account.

For more information, visit our personal health records help page.

Online consultations

In an online consultation, you can contact a GP or health professional over the internet. It saves you waiting for an appointment or going to the surgery.

For more information, visit our online consultations help page.
