Does registering with NHS Choices mean I have registered with a GP practice?

No. Registering with NHS Choices does not register you for other parts of the NHS. If you want to register with a GP practice you cannot usually do it online. You need to go to the practice you would like to join and see if their list is ‘open’ – that is whether they are accepting new patients. You will have to fill in a form and may have to provide some proof of identity.
