North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust has been fully modernised since 2010 with over £200 million of investment in state-of-the-art facilities.
Its A&E department, which includes a paediatric A&E, an urgent care centre and a critical care unit, receives around 500 patients a day, one of the busiest in London.
The trust has eight new operating theatres, fully modernised inpatient wards and modern diagnostic and radiotherapy services.
Its new maternity unit was completed in 2013 and sees the birth of about 5,300 babies a year. It has fabulous facilities for mothers, their partners and babies. Its midwife-led birthing suite includes comfortable rooms with birthing pools, TVs and double beds for partners.
The trust's new stroke unit serves patients who require acute medical care and rehabilitation following the hyper acute phase (the first 72 hours after a stroke).
When the hospital's building modernisation programme finally ended in March 2015, 94% of its clinical services were being provided from new and modernised buildings that were less than six years old.
The trust also provides a world class service for sickle cell and thalassaemia patients and provides long-term care and support for people living with HIV locally and acros the country.
The trust serves the diverse populations of Enfield, Haringey, Barnet, Waltham Forest and beyond, seeing over 2,000 patients every day.
