We provide health and social care for people with mental ill health, drug and alcohol problems and learning disabilities in Surrey and North East Hampshire.

We employ around 2,400 people and serve a population of 1.3 million over more than 800 square miles.

People in Surrey in mental health crisis can call our out-of-hours Crisis Helpline on 0300 456 8342. It's available 5pm - 9am Monday to Friday, with 24 hour cover during weekends and Bank Holidays.

There is also a text facility for people who are deaf or hearing impaired on 07717 989024.

If you're aged 18 or under, Crisis Helpline may refer you to our  Children and Young People's Emergency Duty Team.

There are also several Safe Havens available across the area. These are drop-in services, usually open evenings and weekends, for people in mental health crisis. Details are on our website at www.sabp.nhs.uk/safehaven.

Our Haven for young people aged 10-18 is in central Guidlford. It is open Monday and Wednesday evenings and during the day on Sundays. Visit www.sabp.nhs.uk/services/mental-health/young-people/the-haven for details.

Departments and services

Most of our services are provided to people in the community although we have a number of mental health hospital services as well as short break, nursing or residential services for people who have a learning disability - and an alcohol detox/rehab unit.
