  • Safe Staffing
Ruth Hawkins

Nottinghamshire Healthcare is positive about providing integrated healthcare services, including mental health, intellectual disability and community health services.

Over 8,300 dedicated staff provide these services in a variety of settings, ranging from the community through to acute wards, as well as secure settings. The Trust also manages two medium secure units, Arnold Lodge in Leicester and Wathwood Hospital in Rotherham, and the high secure Rampton Hospital near Retford.

We will continually improve our services and our patient, service user and carer experience, as well as reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and intellectual disability.

Our vision is:

Through partnerships, improve lives and the quality of care

Safe Staffing

We are now required by NHS England to publish our Inpatient Nursing fill rates by ward area, this shows our actual and planned staff fill rates. This is in response to the Francis Report, where a commitment was made that all NHS Organisations with Inpatient areas would publish full staffing data (by month, by ward area) from May 2014, and then on an on-going monthly basis. The intention is to show how trusts across the NHS ensure the safety of their staffing levels and skill mix.

Should you have any queries regarding this information please contact the Communications team on 0115 993 4530.
