Elaine Inglesby-Burke receives a CBE

Salford Royal’s Chief Nurse Elaine Inglesby-Burke has been awarded a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Elaine has earned the honour for services to nursing.

Elaine’s nursing career spans nearly 38 years and began at Warrington Hospital where she specialised in critical care and general medicine before moving to positions of nurse specialist and manager at St Helens and Knowsley Hospital Trust in 1990.  Read more...

Salford partnership scoops special ‘vanguard’ status

Salford is set to be at the forefront of a national health revolution that will bring home care, mental health and community nursing, hospital and out-of-hospital services together, ushering in a new era of joined-up care. 

The NHS announcement that the Salford Together Partnership – an alliance formed by NHS Salford Commissioning Group, Salford City Council, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Greater Manchester West Foundation Trust – is to become a ‘vanguard’ will lead to significant health improvements for residents.
